**Must have 3 Years of Experience as a Superintendent**
Must have a working knowledge of all phases of roofing and waterproofing utilized in our market. Must have a fluent knowledge of materials, tools and machines used in the trade. Display strong leadership and supervisory abilities. Above average ability to read blue prints, specifications and contracts/work order for specific projects and materials. Must be able to demonstrate to customers, employees and management at a professional level both oral and written communication skills.

Critical Factors: (Key skills, attributes, experience, education and certifications) · High School Diploma or GED plus five years in a commercial roofing/construction supervisory capacity. · Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, in English, and comprehend drawings and specifications, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence · Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and/or concrete variables · Ability to execute various computer skills such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel · Hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report Duties/ Key Responsibilities:
#1 PLAN THE WORK– Superintendent must be completely knowledgeable in regard to each project they are responsible for and be able to demonstrate such through the planning and execution of the work as well as the quality of the product produced. Specifically the Superintendent must be able to perform or demonstrate the following: · Attend a pre-job conference/pre-job walk with the PM to review the contract/work order · Have a complete understanding of the scope of work as agreed upon in the contract/ work order · Work with Safety Team and participate in the completion and development of a job specific safety plan · Understand the products and systems utilized on the project · Know production goals and expectations · Have the ability to coordinate materials, equipment, and labor resources to meet client expectations, contract requirements and meet financial goals established in the contract/ work order
#2 EXECUTE THE WORK– It is the responsibility of the Superintendent to execute the plan agreed upon and meet the performance expectations outlined in the contract/ work order, while demonstrating the professional ethics and attributes outlined in this job description. While executing the project plan as detailed in the contract/work order, it is the responsibility of the Superintendent to perform the following tasks; · participate in a scheduled pre-roofing conference with the appropriate Team members, associated with the project. Be prepared to discuss scheduling, project specific construction details, and other project specific issues, which might affect the performance of our operations. · Order equipment utilizing the procedures and methods in-place, allowing sufficient time for the dispatchers to efficiently coordinate your order. Equipment and associated labor costs will be charged to the project. It is the responsibility of the Superintendent to monitor the cost and use of the equipment. Equipment is to be returned to good working order. · The superintendent is responsible for ordering materials and scheduling the delivery to the project. It is the responsibility of the Superintendent to account for all materials delivered and verify the materials shipped match the order in type and count. · The superintendent is to assign a single foreman to each project. Should a situation arise requiring a foreman change the Superintendent remains 100% responsible to ensure the new foreman understands the same expectations as described in the contract/ work order. · It is the responsibility of the Superintendent to document the work conditions, weather, crew size, production output, and discussions with field personnel or other Team members each time they are at the job site. This documentation should take place prior to leaving the site. · Hold foreman accountable for labor on the project as well as their ability to complete accurately and legibly the daily paperwork; time sheets, toolbox talks, safety sheets · Superintendents will verify that all site and construction conditions are safe, in accordance with the more stringent of OSHA guidelines or the Progressive Safety manual, prior to mobilization of the field crews. · It is imperative that the superintendent notify and produce documentation to the PM of conditions outside of our scope of work, which might produce negative results, or imply a poor reflection of our company. · Must meet weekly with the project PM to discuss all applicable aspects of the project as they relate to our performance goals and expectations. · Conduct operations to produce a zero punch list, 90% of the time. On the occasions when our final results are defective to the extent a punch list is produced promptly correct the deficiencies within 10 days. · Monitor the quality of the installation throughout the project. The final product is to be 100% defect free 100% of the time. · Conduct a post job meeting with the PM 100% of the time. Be prepared to complete a Project Performance Review Summary if requested. · And any other duties as assigned.

#5 WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those of an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. · While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. · While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside unsheltered weather conditions and all types of weather for 8 hours or more in a 4 hour period of time. · An employee could be working in extremely hot or cold temperatures that could range from between 0 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit or above.

#7 CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Safety Training includes the following topics: Guardrail Systems, Personal Fall Arrest Systems, Positioning Device System, Warning Line System, Safety Monitoring Systems, Protection from Falling Objects, Fall Protection Plan, Covers, and Ladders. (OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 Certified Training is provided when required at job sites to obtain access, and at public work projects). Forklift Certification and Valid Driver’s License is required.
