Reroofing a Community College
Reroofing a community college can have some unique challenges. Progressive Roofing was tasked with reroofing Terrell Hall at Portland Community College’s Cascade Campus while school was in session. Progressive Roofing worked with Garland Industries to develop a specification that would provide a long-term solution for the campus. Terrell Hall had some additional challenges in which each of the roof’s three sections had a different life expectancy. The southwest section had a fair grade and a White Knight restoration system was selected to extend its life. This was good news for the school’s purchasing department because they avoided an entire re-roof at this time. A Kee-stone SBS hybrid system was selected for the northwest and east sections and a new wall panel system was installed as an aesthetic attribute.
