PROJECT HIGHLIGHT
Gila River Indian Community Police Headquarters
DESCRIPTION
Progressive Roofing was chosen as the roofing subcontractor for a new build of the Gila River Indian Community Police Headquarters facility that was 47,000 SF in size and located in Sacaton, AZ. This distinctive project demanded a visually appealing wall system capable of withstanding Arizona’s harsh desert climate while meeting building standards. The skilled project team leveraged their creative expertise to design a wall system using 16-gauge thick A606 naturally rusting steel sheets, sized 8 feet by 4 feet, complemented with Alumaboard Wood Grain Soffit panels. These sheets underwent a pre-installation rusting process lasting between 3-8 weeks to develop a natural patina. Ensuring the facility was watertight was critical, as well as incorporating specific fasteners that withstand rusting. Additional features of this single-story building included a 9,500 SF indoor shooting range and a shade structure covering a pedestrian plaza. By collaborating closely with the project partners, Progressive successfully navigated potential scheduling challenges and worked harmoniously in the project space. Contributing to the custom roof and wall construction for the GRIC Police Headquarters was an honor for Progressive Roofing.
