Safety on Site
Site-Specific safety plans and programs are developed for each and every project. Every site-specific safety plan is reviewed by the division Safety Director and Safety Support Center. The Project Superintendent and Foreman are responsible for the implementation and management of any designed site safety plan.
How We Protect Our Team:
PPE
We provide all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE). All PPE is inspected by prior to use, any equipment found in non-working or defective condition is not used. All PPE must be properly fitted to each employee.
Fall Protection
Fall protection is required whenever employees are working on a surface that has an unprotected side or edge that is 6 feet or more above the lower level.
Ear Protection
Hearing protective equipment must be worn at all times in an area where employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8 hour time weighted average sound level (TWA) of 85 decibels.
Fire protection
An adequate supply of 10# and 20# ABC-rated fire extinguishers are located throughout the project site. The travel distance to any fire extinguisher shall not exceed 50 feet. Portable fire extinguishers are inspected on a monthly basis.
